Computers typically last 5-6 years before they become outdated and scrapped. Many of these computers are not properly disposed of and are harmful to the environment. My design goal was to find a new purpose for outdated computer hardware.
The name Circuit-Hedron Comes from circuitry and polyhedron
Inside every keyboard lies 2-3 sheets of circuitry made of a heat-resistant polymer. When light shines through these sheets, vivid cast shadows illuminate the area. When folded and sewn together, this material can be formed into beautiful light fixtures.
Circuitry sheets are sewn together in a sewing machine. Then they are cut on a template.
Next the circuit sheets are folded evenly and the tabs are hand-stitched in place
Finally the lighting system is inserted inside the polyhedron. The lamp is complete
